DSLR vs. Film Scanner

Recently, I have considered to buy a DSLR camera so replace my 15 years old 35mm film camera. Nikon D200 was the closest choice. But I was too picky and couldn't find one model fitted my requirements:
  • Reuse my existing camera lenses (Nikon AIS lenses, fixed focal length [no zoom], pretty good quality indeed)
  • Long battery life (I still find this is a hurdle to me coz my 35mm film camera is full manual; no battery life constriant)
  • Full frame (otherwise, my existing lenses will be wasted; e.g.: 24mm = 38mm [1.6])
I finally bought a film scanner last Sat as an alternative (Nikon Super Coolscan 500 ED, very cool!). Here are some of my very old portfolios in Europe (my first travel after graduation):

Not bad, right!
